To help you be aware of important religious holidays when scheduling events, our friends at Google have made it very simple to add holidays from several religious traditions to your Bmail calendar. Here’s how to do it:
Go to your Bmail calendar, and scroll down on the left-hand side until you find the "Other calendars" section. Click on the + next to "Other calendars" to begin the process of adding a new calendar to your account:
In the menu that appears, click on "Browse calendars of interest":
Among those holidays is a "Global religious holidays" section. Click in the selection box to the left of each of the listed religious holiday calendars you would like to add:
At the top-left of the page, click on the left-facing arrow to return to your calendar:
In your "Other calendars" section, the new calendar(s) will appear in the list, and the events from that calendar will appear in your Bmail calendar as banner labels in the color listed, making it much easier for you to see if an event you are thinking of scheduling will conflict with a major religious holiday:
