If you make a call using the Zoom Phone app on your computer or smartphone, you can easily convert or elevate the phone call to a Zoom meeting. The other user can be on an external device, Zoom desktop client, or Zoom mobile app.
During your phone call, click the Meet button on your keypad.
You will then see the caller in the waiting room. Select Admit.
What happens to the other participant when you elevate a call to a meeting?
- Zoom Phone (Zoom Workplace desktop app or mobile app): The participant will join the meeting if they accept the invite. If the person declines, the phone call will end.
- Zoom Desktop Phone: The participant will automatically join the meeting using phone audio.
- External device: The participant will automatically join the meeting using phone audio.
