If you are a faculty or staff member scheduled to receive a new Macintosh computer as part of the annual computer replacement process, please review the following information:
Prior to Replacement Appointment:
- Kindly remove all personal stickers from the computer
- Sign out of services - Note: This is a very important step and may require rescheduling the appointment if services are not signed out
- Change your computer log in password
Note: If your old power supply is not working or has exposed wires, it must be returned with your computer to receive a new one. If your power supply works and is a USB-C adapter, please keep it to use with your replacement computer.
Change your computer login (not your Bucknell account) password to something generic and share it with your technician via your computer replacement ticket. Your migration will not happen if this is not done.
Change your password in "Users & Groups" preferences:
- Choose "System Settings" or "System Preferences" from the Apple menu, then click Users & Groups.
- Select your user name from the list of users.
- Click the Change Password button, then follow the onscreen instructions.
