If you are planning to hold multiple appointments with separate individuals, you can set up Zoom so each person joins a private meeting. This can be helpful for tutoring, job interviews, or individual consultations. The Zoom Waiting Room places each attendee in a private virtual space - they can't see or hear each other or the host until they are admitted to the meeting.
Note: These instructions require you to use Zoom through your web browser to set up the meeting. The Zoom app does not have the settings you will need.
- Login to bucknell.zoom.us.
- Click on Meetings in the left menu.
- Create a new meeting. Use a unique title that you will recognize in your meeting list.
- Check the box next to Recurring Meeting. In the Recurrence drop down menu, select No Fixed Time.
- In the Meeting Options section, uncheck Enable join before host and check Enable waiting room.
- Click Save.
- Copy the Join URL or click Copy the invitation.
- Send this information to the meeting attendee(s) in an email message or calendar proposal. You can reuse this URL as often as you need.
- When you start the meeting, you will be required to admit each participant from the Waiting Room.
