Which network should I use for my device?

Wired Ethernet: If your desktop or laptop computer has an ethernet jack and you have an ethernet cable, plug one end of the cable into the jack on the computer and the other end into the jack on the wall. If your device does not have an ethernet port, then this network will not work for you.

bucknell.edu Wireless Network: This network requires authentication! You will need to logon with your Bucknell username and password.  If you don't have a way to navigate or type, then this network will not work for your device. Windows computers, Mac computers, iPhones, iPads, Chromebooks, Android phones, and Android tablets should use bucknell.edu wireless.

bucknell_iot wireless network: What is the bucknell_iot network?

Guest on Campus (parent, family member, visitor, etc)

  • Use the bucknell_guests wireless network.

Student, Faculty or Staff visiting another campus

  • If you are not at Bucknell, use the eduroam wireless network to gain access to the Internet with your Bucknell username and password.
