If you are moving to a new location or office on campus, follow these instructions:
Computers
- You are responsible for moving your laptop, so take it with you.
- Pack all other computer equipment (desktop computers, monitors, docks, desk phone, cables etc.) using packing materials provided by Facilities and label the boxes appropriately. Label the boxes as "Computers" so they aren't mixed in with heavier boxes. They will be moved to your new location by Facilities.
Once in your new location, unpack and set up your monitors, etc.
Phones
When moving to another office, take your phone and cables with you to your new office. if you do NOT have a physical desk phone, follow all 3 steps in the Knowledge Base article to update your E911 location.
Poly Phone
- Connect the Ethernet Network Cable to the back of your phone. Connect the other end into the DATA jack located on the wall. A power cord is not needed.
- If you plug in your phone and it is not working, please try other DATA jacks on that wall plate. (There may be more than one wall plate to try.) If none of the jacks are working, contact the phone office immediately at phoneoffice@bucknell.edu, or 570-577-1810.
- Dial 933. This will place a TEST emergency call to confirm your location is registered correctly on the Zoom Phone system. If the address that is read back to you is incorrect, contact the phone office immediately at phoneoffice@bucknell.edu, or 570-577-1810.
- Set your Emergency Location in your user profile as well. Everyone should complete these tasks, even if you're not using a physical phone.

Yealink Phone
- Connect the Ethernet Network Cable into the jack labeled ‘internet’ on the back of your phone. Connect the other end into the DATA jack located on the wall.
- If you plug in your phone and it's not working, please try other DATA jacks on that wall plate. (There may be more than one wall plate to try.) If none of the jacks are working, contact the phone office immediately at phoneoffice@bucknell.edu, or 570-577-1810.
