How can faculty, staff, or students install Xmanager Power Suite on their computers?

Instructions for installing Xmanager Power Suite on a Windows computer.

NOTE 1: Xmanager Power Suite is a Windows only application.  Mac users can install XQuartz to get a X11 environment.
NOTE 2: You need to be either directly connected to the Bucknell network (wired or wireless) or connected to the Bucknell VPN to complete these instructions.

Faculty, staff, and students can use these instructions for either a Bucknell owned computer or a personally owned computer.

  1. Start the Windows File Explorer
  2. Right-click on This PC and select Map network drive…
  3. Select an available Drive letter. In the Folder field, enter \\softserve.bucknell.edu\public\XManager7.
  4. Check the box labeled Connect using different credentials and click Finish.
  5. When prompted, enter your Bucknell username and password when requested (enter bucknell\yourusername for the username) and click OK.
  6. Double-click xmanager7-2022 (note that this is a silent installer so you may not see much happening during the installation).
  7. When the installer finishes, you should find a folder called Xmanager Power Suite 7 in your Start menu.
