Edit dialing works just like making a call on your cell phone – just start entering the number without hearing a dial tone. You can correct or edit the phone number before you place the call.
Note: These instructions apply to any phone that does not use the Contact Center.
Activate Edit Dialing
- Press the Home button on the touchpad
- Press the Settings button on the screen
- Choose Options & Settings
- Choose Call Settings
- Select Edit Dialing
- Select Save
- Press the Home button on the touchpad
Use Edit Dialing
- From the Phone screen, enter the number you want to call.
- To edit the number touch the backspace soft key to erase the previous character, one character at a time.
- To move the cursor forward or backward use the Right or Left Arrow soft keys.
- Touch Call or press Speaker, Headset or Lift the Handset to place the call.
