How do I install Follow-Me printing on a university-owned Macintosh computer?

Please note that if you have a new card from 2023 or newer, you cannot scan your card at the printer to access your printer jobs. Tap on "touch here to begin" and enter your proxy card number. The proxy card number is the 5 digits after the "+" on the back of your BUID. 

Bucknell-owned Machines

Due to security policies, Bucknell-owned machines will need to have administrative rights prior to following the instructions below. Find Privileges in programs and select Request Privileges and enter your computer password.

Follow-Me Printing – Mac

If you are a faculty or staff member, follow these instructions to install Follow-Me Printing on your Bucknell University owned Macintosh computer:

1. Open Applications
2. Open and login to Self Service with your Bucknell username and password.
3. Locate Follow-Me Print Queues and click Install.
   
4. Locate Follow-Me Print Queues on the main page and click Install. 
   
5. When the installation is complete, open System Preferences. Locate and open Printers & Scanners.
6. Use the +/- (#1) to remove any old print queues.
   
7. Select the printer that should be the new default printer.  Click Open Print Queue (#2).
8. Open the Printer menu.
   
9. Select Make Default.
   
10. Release your print jobs at any Follow-Me Printer!
