How is Bucknell protecting my personal data when I use a voice assistant like Alexa?

None of these initial pilot actions access sensitive or confidential data.

If and when we decide to implement actions that would cross the line to sensitive or confidential data - like, “Alexa, ask myBucknell what was my grade was last semester in Econ 101?” - each platform has mechanisms to authenticate and link specific user identities to specific physical devices to limit and control access.  We will fully utilize and validate those available mechanisms in addition to conducting any and all necessary institutional vetting and review processes to protect your privacy before allowing access to sensitive or confidential data via this mechanism.
