How do I post to the Message Center?

Start in myBucknell.

Click on Message Center on the left side of myBucknell.

The first time you do this you need to click where it says Message Center. Then you go to a screen with an option to view messages, post a new message, update your delivery preferences, or review the guidelines for posting.

Delivery Time

Requested messages are reviewed during University business hours. Please note that the Message Center is not moderated during evenings or weekends, or during University holidays when offices are closed. A message that meets all guidelines and is submitted before 4:30 p.m.:

● will be distributed via individual email to recipients who prefer that delivery route as soon as the message is approved,

● will appear in the Message Center as soon as the message is approved, and

● will appear in the email digest the next weekday morning (there is no email digest on the weekend).

For example, a message that meets all guidelines and is submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Monday will be distributed via individual email and to the Message Center that day and will appear in the Tuesday morning digest. A message submitted after 4:30 p.m. on Monday will be reviewed on Tuesday. It will be distributed via individual email and to the Message Center that day and will appear in the Wednesday morning digest.

If a message does not meet all guidelines, the individual who submitted it will be notified by email that the proposed message must be revised. The sender should review the message and the guidelines, make the appropriate modifications, and resubmit the proposed message.

Once submitted for review and posting, messages cannot be revised or cancelled. Please proofread submissions carefully.
