Error "ID is not in the database" or you don't know your PIN number
We recently went to a new version of webprint and all physical ID cards must be registered to be able to use them in the future at the printers.
- To register your ID card
- Scan your ID at the printer
- When asked for a PIN. enter the 5 digit proxy number on the back of your Bucknell ID. It is the 5 digits after the "+" and log in.
Print job not coming out
Job not showing up
PDFs are notorious for not printing or printing incorrectly. The solution is not to upload your job to UniflowOnline (aka Webprint), but to directly print to the queue.
- Documents may take up to 10 minutes to turn up, especially if the printing system is busy
- Print directly to the Queue
- Try using a lab computer or the courtyard computers in Bertrand Library.
- Open your file and select File > Print.
- Select BU FollowMe Print as the printer and click on print.
- Release your job at any campus FollowMe printer.
Printer Status Monitor Light is blinking red and saying "Load Paper"
Occasionally, when you try to print all of a sudden the printer says "Load paper". This often happens because the document is telling the printer to print on special paper (example: A4, Legal, etc.).
- Verify paper is in the drawer
- Out of paper: Order here
- Paper in the drawer: try the step for Blinking Red Light
- Blinking Red Light: If there is a blinking red light when you go to print and it will not come out, it is because the paper size defaulted to another setting (example: A4).
- To fix this:
- Press "Status Monitor"
- Select "OK"
