Library & Information Technology Grants

Bucknell’s Library & Information Technology provides various funding opportunities for faculty and students interested in digital pedagogy and/or scholarship:

Course Design Grants
These stipends provide course development support to faculty members who are creating new courses that teach students how to use digital technologies, and modifying existing courses to include significant digital scholarship lessons, modules, or projects. Faculty receive $4000

Summer Research Grants
These stipends fulfill an important component of our digital scholarship initiative in which faculty work with students to develop a productive cycle of teaching and research in digital scholarship, collaborating on the creation of new knowledge that can subsequently lead to new research questions.  Students receive $3000 and summer housing.  Faculty receive $500.

Micro Grants
Micro grants are designed to encourage ongoing digital research projects in the Humanities and Social Sciences within the academic year (August – May) and will pay faculty-identified student research assistants over a specific period of time at a competitive hourly wage (compared with other on-campus employment opportunities) that is commensurate with their prior experience and abilities.
