B-Alert

SMS Text Messaging

B-Alert will text your enrolled mobile device from one of five shortcodes. Shortcodes are 5 or 6 digit sending addresses that do not have the same number of digits as a telephone number.

The B-Alert shortcodes are 77295, 78015, 67283, 22911, and 226787. Add these smartcodes to your phone contacts to ensure that you receive these notifications.

Do NOT reply "STOP" to any of these numbers. If you reply "STOP" you will not receive emergency notifications from Bucknell Public Safety or any other university using this system. If you accidentally reply "STOP" then you must send a message that says "START" to begin receiving notifications again.

NOTE: Prepaid phones, phones from small carriers, phones that are not turned on, and phones that do not have any cell or wifi signal may not receive these notifications.

Voice Call

Add the Bucknell Public Safety telephone numbers to your phone contacts.
