Read&Write for Google
Read&Write is literacy software that is useful for those who would like assistance reading, writing, taking notes, doing research, or working in a second language. Bucknell has a site license that allows all faculty, staff, and students to use Read&Write in the Google Chrome web browser.
Read&Write includes the following tools:
- Text-to-speech: Read&Write will read a web page out loud so the client can hear a written document.
- Check It: Read&Write will check your grammar and spelling to help evaluate your writing.
- Talk&Type: Read&Write will record your spoken language into a written document.
Installing Read&Write for Google Chrome
- Sign in to Google Chrome, if you are not already.
- Read&Write for Google Chrome will appear as an extension next to your Google profile near the top right corner of Chrome
- If you do not see it in your extensions, click on the white Extensions icon next to your Google profile in Chrome that looks like a puzzle piece.
- Find Read&Write for Google Chrome in the list of Extensions and click on the pin icon to pin it to your extensions toolbar.
- Click on the extension to start using Read&Write for Google Chrome
