How do I run security updates on a Mac?

Body

  1. Go to System Preferences
  2. Select General
  3. Select Software Update
  4. Select info icon under Other Updates
    Software Updates window with Other Updates at the bottom and info icon
  5. Install all available updates for your current OS version.
    Select updates for current MacOS only instead of newer MacOS
  6. Updates will install. Restart when prompted.
